ABOUT Filippo Bertolini.
Behind Flow Better Academy is coach Filippo Bertolini. He is passionate about youth athletic development and dedicated to delivering the best coaching content to young aspiring performers. Filippo holds a MSc (Hons) in Strength & Conditioning from Northumbria University of Newcastle and he is currently working as Head of Performance at Stirling County RFC, where he oversees the physical development of over 150 athletes from the Youth Academy up to Super6 professional players. He previously worked across Italy, New Zealand and UK for organisations like Sunderland AFC, Rugby Parma FC, Tennis Club President, Crociati Noceto Football Club and Waitakere City Rugby Club.
Filippo holds numerous qualifications, including:
BSc in Sport and Exercise Science
MSc (Hons) in Strength and Conditioning
World Rugby Strength and Conditioning Level 2
ISAK Level 1 Anthropometrist
Precision Nutrition Level 1
OUR MISSION.
Great athletes and performers, at some point of their life, experience what is called “Flow”. They are “in the zone”, and they excel in their discipline almost unconsciously. Their skillset is robust enough to withstand the task with confidence, there is no need to slow down and think. The subconscious mind takes over and everything is flowing efficiently, they are so focused in the moment that movements become effortless.
Our mission here at Flow Better Academy is to help young athletes become superior problem solvers and high performing individuals. We support them to develop a broad toolbox through an appropriate pathway, tailored to their physical maturity and competency, in order to prepare them for the physical and psychological demands of their sport.
We commit and take pride in providing and sharing quality education, coaching and resources. Our vision is to create a community where young athletes are encouraged to develop and master their skills and express their potential. To allow them to flow and overcome whatever challenge their sport, or life, put in front of them, to ultimately pursue their goals.
